Anthony Jacob Andersen
Jacob Andersen was born to Lynn and JoAnn Andersen in 1980. He was raised on a 2,000 acre dry farm in Arbon Valley, Idaho. Jake spent his summers working in the fields and mountain ranges. During the school year, Jake attended American Falls High School. In 1998, Jacob graduated as the class Valedictorian with several awards and high honors.
After High School, Jacob attended Ricks College studying Computer Science. After his Freshman year, Jacob accepted a two year assignment to Morristown, New Jersey to serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jacob resumed his schooling by transferring to Brigham Young University in the beginning of 2001. During his Junior year at BYU, Jacob accepted a job working for Novell, Inc. While working for Novell, Jacob received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2004.
Jacob has served in a variety of positions at Novell, Inc. His first year was spent performing quality assurance testing on Novell's client for Microsoft workstations. Jacob's interests soon turned to test automation. Since 2002, Jacob has specialized in a variety of automation practices. He has presented automation techniques and trainings to schools and groups in the area. Jacob is currently a team lead over Novell's flagship Identity Management software, ZENworks.
In Jacob's spare time he has built a number of Internet business ventures. The most current being an Internet browser designed to help parents keep their children safe online. This business is called, My Kids Browser. He also designed and manages numerous other websites that can be found in the portfolio section of this website.
As of 2005, Jacob extended his business interests by enrolling at Utah State University in the Masters of Business Administration program.
Despite the busy schedule, Jacob strives to spend quality time with his beautiful wife, Shantell.
